I used to tell people all the time about this awesome blog I was going to start. It was going to be advice about living a healthy life and getting rich. Responses ranged anywhere from… everyone needs to read that, to no one is going to read that.
Well, now I am doing the same thing, except I have a blog. I am considering doing the same thing with a vlog though. I have not got the format ironed out, nor do I really know that I am going to do it. But I am kicking the idea around in my head.
Blog about Blogging
So this blog I am going to pretty much explain how everything goes started, and I will retrace my steps, in hopes to motivate me to vlog about vlogging.
Buying the domain, and hosting.
I recommend using bluehost.com to do everything. It is a quick one-stop shop. PLUS they don’t harass you like some other web hosting companies. You can literally set up everything, and have WordPress installed in minutes.
Posting was by far the biggest challenge for myself. I set up the hosting and parked the site. I wrote things that were hilarious to my friends but came across very cynical. Although, I do like the occasional sarcastic post. I didn’t want my entire blog to be that.
The last conversation with my dad
The last real conversation I had with my dad changed my life forever. I called him on the hospital phone and told him I was going to come visit him tomorrow. He told me to stay away because he thought he might be contagious. At that moment he was hospitalized with pneumonia. Well, I was talking to him about this awesome diet I was on, and how it helped me lose so much weight really fast.
I told him it was my caveman diet. I didn’t fry anything, and I ate meat, fruits, vegetables, eggs, and sweet potatoes. He said, if I get out of here, I NEED to do something. I told him I would type it up, print it off, and give it to him.
I dropped 40 lbs in 4 months. It was absolutely insane.
Little did I know that was the last time I would really get to talk to my dad. He actually died for about 20 minutes the next day. After that day he had so many tubes coming out of him, he could no longer carry on a conversation. He did communicate, just unable to speak.
My first post was about my dad, and I thought if I could write about that, I could write anything. I did write most anything for a year. I then wrote a book and realized I needed to write more, to reach more.
So I started posting in overdrive. I now have something to post on my blog every day Monday-Friday.
Thanks for Reading
