I do cardio every day. I haven’t always done that. The reasons I didn’t do it was far worse than the reasons that I do it.
Let’s start with the bad first:
- I didn’t have time.
- I don’t want to get too thin.
- It lowers XYZ hormones
- Runners get injured a lot.
Explanation of why I didn’t do Cardio Everyday
The time excuse is old and played out. If you really want to do something you can do it.
I am not sure in America too thin can exist. You can literally have food delivered to your house from the internet. Not only is that lazy, it isn’t healthy.
I don’t know why I thought that I would have less testosterone due to running. I am pretty sure I read it. But being fat and lazy lowers hormone levels too. So it was kind of a silly thought.
Runners do get injured, so do people trying to get a free drink from a vending machine. 2 people die every year from vending machines falling on them. Fewer people die from shark bites. That excuse is just silly.
Why I do Cardio Every day!
Your heart is most important
If there is a muscle that is more important than the other ones it is your heart. Don’t believe me? Let yours stop working and see how long you last. Why wouldn’t you work that out?
Burn more calories!
Your body works more effectively to burn calories when you do cardio. If you don’t believe me, get a calorie tracker (Fitbits work well enough) and MOVE! You will notice the difference.
Less risk of injury?
YES! I don’t have those weird injuries like I did at one point. You know when you bend down to pick something up and you stay there.
I would also like to point out, I lost weight, AND I don’t run every day. I do run sometimes. But I prefer a bike or an elliptical. They both get my heart rate up, workout my legs, and they don’t injure me.
I do love the expression on people’s faces when I tell them I do cardio every day. It is like I do something that is almost impossible. It is almost as good as the expression I get when I tell people I wake up at 4:30 AM to do my workout.
I will admit the first couple of weeks are rough, but after that, your body adapts, and your confidence levels rise. After you do it every day for close to a month that is when you feel unstoppable.
