I burn a ton of calories every day (around 4,000.) That is my preface to this diet. You need to move to burn calories. So before I hear you saying that I didn’t lose 5 lbs this week by following your diet, you probably weren’t active.
It is very possible for me to lose 5 lbs this week. I have done it many times. Does that mean I can lose 20 lbs in a month? Possibly, but I don’t really know.
Typically I allow myself a cheat meal as a reward once I have lost some weight, and that 5 lbs turns into around 3 lbs.
So here it is…
Lose 5 lbs this Week:
First you need to go to the grocery store. Your shopping list is going to be very simple and easy.
- Citrus Fruit (orange or grapefruit)
- Lean Beef (less white the better)
- Brown Rice
- Black Beans
That is all.
If you don’t like one of the meats, don’t replace it. You just don’t get to eat it. If you don’t like citrus fruit, brown rice, or black beans… this diet isn’t for you.
The goal is to eat 6 meals a day. If you don’t have time for 6 meals, then eat 5. Still no time, eat 4. If you can’t eat 4, eat 3. If you can’t eat 3. You have some time management issues that you need to deal with head on.
You will not eat a meal this week that doesn’t have one of the meats above.
Your first goal should be to eat a meal as soon as you wake up in the morning.
As far as portions go:
- Full orange or grapefruit
- Meats should be palm sized portions
- Brown rice should be fist sized portions.
- Beans should be palm sized portions.
The fruit is used as a supplement twice a day. First thing in the morning eat a piece of fruit with meat and beans.
Eat meat with all 6 meals. Alternate between the beans and the rice.
Take a multivitamin.
If you feel weak, eat the other piece of fruit.
If you feel hungry, drink more water, and up your portion of meat.
If you are extremely gassy (caused by the beans) eat less beans.
You should be consuming 1 gallon of water during the day.
Do not batter and fry. Bake, or grill. Batter isn’t on your shopping list.
20-32 ounces of water should be consumed before/with your first meal.
Weigh yourself at the same exact time every day. I recommend first thing in the morning, but you can whenever you want to, as long as it is the same time every single day.
And that is the simple way to lose 5 Lbs this week.
