Before I was a father, I had a lot of misinterpretations as to what my heavenly father might want out of my life. After I became a father, I knew that my heavenly father demanded more out of my life that I could have ever imagined.
I believe that sometimes our religion gives us an excuse. When really it gives us a mission. My daily mantra involves giving back more than ever thought possible. Everyone knows that I blog everyday. I workout every day, but give everyday?
My Daily Mantra
My mantra isn’t an original idea, in fact, it is almost 2,000 years old.
Ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you…
Before I was a father, I thought my heavenly father didn’t necessarily want me to lead a life of anything above average. When I became a father, I realized my heavenly father wanted very similar things from me that I want from my own children.
I want my children to be the best, because if they are the best, then people will think I am a good parent. I know it seems a bit self centered, but think about it….
If we came to grips that our heavenly father wanted us to be the best, then we can realize the world is ours for the taking.
How to Get the Best Out of Life
So, if you want the best, the instructions are easy….
The passage goes on to say if your child asked for bread you wouldn’t give them a rock? I would certainly hope not. I wouldn’t. If my kid really wants something, they will most likely get it, within reason. So why would we expect anything less from our heavenly father?
I encourage each of you to steal my daily mantra, and start your day the same way. When you repeat this to yourself everyday you will notice a great change in your life.
