I found Nerd Fitness when I was trying to learn techniques how to do more pull-ups. (Spoiler alert: You have to do pull-ups to be able to do MORE pull-ups).
I was a real nerd in high school (and today). So this website kept me entertained for hours. When his book was released I got it the first chance I got, and read the entire thing in one sitting. It was so entertaining to me, and it had GREAT advice.
My Nerd Fitness Review
You should probably be a nerd before you read the site.
He talks about all of the typical nerd stuff. Video games, comic books, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and so much more.
He also talks about everyday stuff.
I am a fan because he is a fan of paleo-esque diets. As we know that is what my diet was like when I started losing weight.
Any one who writes intelligently about exercise, I will happily endorse. All of the Nerd Fitness articles are well thought out and backed by science.
This is probably the most unique part of Nerd Fitness. Most of the motivation is based around the nerd type things mentioned earlier. When Captain America: Civil War was released, he had an entire email blast dedicated to the movie’s theme.
Pull-ups brought me in, but his stories about travel got me hooked. In his book, he mentions being James Bond for a day. My favorite part was the price tag. He basically did the whole thing for nothing. So the price was completely right for my tastes.
Nerd Fitness has also started a group of yoga videos. I am not a huge fan of Yoga, although I do like stretching. The entire advance course is less than the price of about 2 months of Yoga.
So before you go sign up for some classes I would recommend checking out these videos, and doing them in the privacy of your own home.
Or record yourself on YouTube doing yoga and look like these people.
Thanks for reading,
