As a society, we have a problem. Simply put, that problem is participation trophies. We actually have people that think they deserve something, for being a person. I think religion has your entitlement right. You are entitled to hell, and that is about it. I have never been given anything I have not earned. Nor have I expected anything if I did not earn it.
All your participation trophies earn you is a feeling of entitlement.
Entitlement (Your participation trophies)
It is free, and you can’t live without it. As a human you are entitled to some free air.
2. Nothing that is mine
I don’t get your crap… you can’t have mine. I don’t want your stuff anyway. It probably thinks it deserves something too. If you want some of my stuff order it yourself.
You can choose to be a piece of junk. I can also choose to call you a piece of junk. Both come with consequences. If you choose to be a piece of junk, you don’t get anything but air (see number 1). If I choose to call you a piece of junk, I am entitled to be right.
The Winner’s Circle
A circle represents 1 thing. That is infinity. A circle never ends and it never begins. In the game of life there can be an infinite number of winners. You are more than welcome to join me at the winner’s circle. However you need to leave your participation trophy behind.
Earning the Winner’s Circle
2. Stop Whining
Have you ever met a complainer? That is all they do is complain. Call them a complainer and they won’t have a problem, call them a whiner and they turn into a wiener. Whiners are not winner’s. If you are a whiner stop it, and set you some goals. Then do step one.
3. Face Your Fear
You don’t do number 1 because of 2 or 3. You either whine, or you are scared. Fear is probably the number one cause of inaction. Do you remember that pretty girl you liked and never got her number? Well, you didn’t get it because you were afraid. So what if it ends in disaster. At least you don’t live a life of what-if.
