If you weren’t aware, I was featured this week on the Switching the Coverage Podcast/Facebook Live Presentation. If you would like you can view it in this article. But there were so many topics we didn’t get to discuss due to time constraints.
If you watch the podcast you will notice I am referencing notes from my “magic journal” during the podcast. This was the book I actually made Eric read the “Diddy added me” line.
Looking over my notes I wanted to disclose some of the other “points” that we never got to talk.
People Building a Brand on Social Media
We touched on this one briefly, but the one company I wanted to point out was Wendy’s. Whoever is managing their Twitter profile is tweeting some gold. That, of course, leads me to their number 1 fan.
Carter Wilkerson has one tweet with 3.2 Million retweets. He was featured on Ellen… and now has a verified profile. What did he do? He asked Wendy’s for some “nuggs for life?”
Wendy’s response was simply 18 million… and now you have a guy that is using his influence to help raise money for the Dave Thomas Foundation.
Tai Lopez was also another one… you may not know him by name, but you know his dorky glasses and his big stupid house… oh and the 30-minute ad on Youtube. All joking aside, his business is social media. He teaches people how to teach people to use social media.
I didn’t talk much about Instagram… truthfully it is because I am awful at it. Well, I just haven’t found much of a use for it (yet). It is probably the fastest growing social media platform.
Do you remember how we mentioned the Kardashians and Jenners on this one? Well, there is a little secret that I discovered (shout out to the teenagers that taught me this) if you want likes on your pictures, just go to one of their profiles and comment on the picture LB… you will then be flooded by several teenagers liking your picture. I am not really sure why you do that… but again I told you, I am not good at Instagram.
