This will probably make a lot of people mad, but it is time for some seriousness out of DrewTolbert.com… That seriousness? Is your city telling you it is time to move?I can say with a smile on my face that my blog is very honest. I am from Birmingham, Alabama. I grew up in the country moved ‘to town’ then I moved back out to the country. However, there are signs all around the country that are telling you it is time to move as far away from your current location as possible.
What are the signs your city is telling you to move?
You can’t afford to live there- This is the number one complaint of millennials everywhere. Here is an idea… go to the middle of nowhere… for most cities this is around 50 miles from the edge of the city. Buy you a crappy acre of land… buy you an old camper… and BOOM! You have a house. Problem solved.
Facts concerning the issue: You won’t be able to find a good paying job in the city, or in the middle of nowhere… so move away so no one has to hear you complain about it. Also, there are no Starbucks in the country… expensive coffee is for people that can afford a house.
Crime is out of control- I get it. You live in a high population area and thus the chances of you seeing a crime are higher, and you are afraid you will get shot. Here is a solution…. Go to the middle of nowhere and find you a place to live… you can build you a fortress in the middle of 10 acres and protect yourself with all the force necessary.
Facts concerning the issue: It is really no more than probability. Keep in mind there were 4 people in the Garden of Eden and 1 turned out to be a killer.
Terrorism- So you live in fear… Never fear… just move. Where? To the middle of nowhere of course! Why? Let’s be real… terrorism happens in large groups. Where there aren’t people there aren’t terrorists.
Facts concerning the issue: Again it is math. More people actually increase your odds.
Sexual Predators- GET OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND HEAD TO THE CITY!!!!
Thanks for reading (this was pointless).
