I am by no means a physicist and will probably screw this thought process up, but have you ever considered how the world is going to end. I mean literally gone… boom.
This is going to take me a second to explain so I will just start at the beginning.
Let’s start with something that makes my head hurt to consider. Time and movement, that ultimately cause time dilation.
When you are on a train going 100 mph and you are in the dining car and drop your fork on the floor, what happens?
The fork dropped 3 feet. No big deal right? It really is a big deal, because that fork only dropped 3 feet to the people on the train. If you aren’t on the train, the fork dropped 3 feet, then it also moved about 200 feet forward.
See time and space exist at the same time, but our vessels make us see them differently.
So the fork dropped for around 1 second in the trains world… it dropped for 1.00000000000000000000003 seconds in the outside world (this accounts for the forward movement and BOOM! Time Dilation!).
Why does this matter?
The movement we experience on earth doesn’t matter. But wait, the earth is just a vessel too. Moving at over 1,000 MPH. So every time a fork is dropped, someone jumps, or a baby is born… there is a 3 nanosecond difference to someone in space orbiting around the earth.
Still not big enough yet?
Well, what about the Earth moving around the sun? That is a rate of 67,000 MPH…. that is 2 seconds, difference. So, everything happening in a different solar system is actually perceiving us at a different rate of time, due to our movement.
What about galaxies? Within our own galaxy, the sun is moving at a rate of about 486,000 MPH. PLUS the Milky Way is moving at a rate of about 250,000 MPH toward another galaxy.
This isn’t much to be alarmed by. We are so far away from the other galaxy that it would take us around 4 billion years to reach it. Except, there is a flaw.
Nothing in space moves on a straight path. Everything revolves around something else. Scientists hypothesize that there is not a center of the universe yet everything orbits something else. True smaller galaxies orbit the Milky Way, but the Milky Way and Andromeda (the other half of our galactic crash) appear to be on a linear path…
Unless these galaxies are moving so fast we can’t see out of them. The theories that make time dilation true and constant say that as you approach the speed of light time slows down, but what if when you get there time stops… and if you pass it, time reverses.
This means that the center of the universe that we are orbiting around doesn’t actually exist because it doesn’t exist yet.
This means we are moving so fast toward an object that we can’t see due to its mass and our speed and we will hit it and everything will be destroyed. (Happy ending)
